Software:
Blender 2.82
- Select the particle emitter object.
- In the particle system modifier, press the Convert button or press Ctrl Alt A.
Note:
The objects that will be created will all have their mesh data linked to the original Dupli-Object (they will be instances of the particle object chosen in the particle system Render Settings)

I don’t understand what happens after step 2. Can you tell me what to do after converting. Thank you!
After step 2 the particles have been turned converted to regular objects, and they are no longer dependent on the particle system settings.
For example, you may use a particle system to model patches of grass, or flowers, but after the initial modelling it may be more convenient to use the model as a regular object and not a particle system.
This is what the tip in the post is intended for.
